Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Red Light

Welcome to the department of human restoration

Being human takes its toll. At Breathe, we combine personalised care with an obsessive interest in how your body works. We specialise in hyperbaric oxygen and red light therapy, but our curiosity extends to nutrients, brainwaves, DNA and epigenetics. It all starts with taking the time to understand you.

I had a very calm and beautiful time at Breathe. It felt like stepping into a sanctuary. The red light therapy and chambers have given me a new lease of life, especially as the seasons change. What a gift to have this is Brighton.

Recommended by a friend to visit breathe & the red light therapy in conjunction with the alpha stim left me feeling the most relaxed I’ve been in years. Instantly felt the energy of the space and love what’s been created here, the staff made me feel really welcome & at ease, talking through the treatment really clearly too. Will be coming back and would highly recommend!

When I walked into Breathe, I immediately felt a sense of calm the air was so clean, and the space was filled with beautiful green plants. I was able to relax right away. I tried their red light therapy beds, and I had an incredible night’s sleep after. My skin felt so much better, too! The pricing was really reasonable, and the staff were amazing so attentive, taking the time to explain everything. Overall, a really professional, reputable place, and I can’t wait to go back.

This space is amazing. I have used the red light and the oxygen chambers several times and will continue to do so, the benefits are tremendous, I always feel energised afterwards. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The setting is absolutely gorgeous. A place where one can truly relax, its like a moment in paradise far from an otherwise busy world. Do it, you wont regret it.

Amazing place! Lewis and the team are brilliant. I’ve been going to Breathe regularly over the past year, mainly using the HBOT for recovery after running and training. More recently, I’ve started using the new red light therapy area, and I’ve noticed really positive effects. Highly recommend checking it out

Inside Breathe

Have a look around the department.

Meet the people, get a closer look at the equipment and see what a session actually involves. It’s easier to walk through the door when you know what’s on the other side.

Hyperbaric Oxygen

Oxygen, under gentle pressure.

Settle into a chamber for an hour of concentrated oxygen under increased air pressure. We’ll help you get comfortable, show you how to clear your ears and monitor your session throughout. Once you’re settled, you can read, rest or simply enjoy being unavailable for a while.

“The HBOT itself is incredibly calming. Relaxing in a bubble for an hour with the world shut outside.”

Red Light

Light, with a purpose.

Settle into our full-body red and near-infrared light bed for 10–15 minutes. We tailor the wavelengths, pulsing and session length to what brings you here, and explain the thinking behind each setting. It all comes back to how your cells respond to light.

“The red light therapy in conjunction with the Alpha-Stim left me feeling the most relaxed I’ve been in years. I can’t imagine winter without it.”

Your First Visit

You’re expected, not processed.

You'll be greeted by your name, not by a number. We’ll show you around and sit down to understand more about you and what’s brought you here.

Together, we’ll talk through the therapies and your options, with time to explain things properly and answer your questions.

When it’s time for your chamber session, we’ll help you settle in and stay by your side until you feel comfortable, then monitor you throughout.

Alpha-Stim

When switching off isn’t simple.

Being told to relax is rarely useful when you can’t. Alpha-Stim is a small device that delivers a gentle electrical current through clips on your earlobes, used to help manage anxiety and insomnia.

We’ll talk through what’s been difficult, explain the evidence and help you decide whether it’s worth exploring.

Who you'll meet

We’re Matt and Joe. We built the place we wished existed.

Matt’s experience of living with Crohn’s changed the way we looked at health, recovery and what good care should actually feel like. Discovering hyperbaric oxygen was part of that journey, but Breathe was always about more than the therapies.

We wanted somewhere you’re understood as a person, known properly and surrounded by things that make you want to stay, from the plants and art to the sounds, the scent of the room and the people you meet.

Industry disruptors

We came to bring the price down.

When Matt discovered hyperbaric oxygen, he started looking into how many sessions he might need. At the £80–£200 an hour he was finding, regular sessions were beyond what most people could afford. Something that might have a place in their lives was priced as a luxury.

Breathe was built to change that. In 2023, we set our prices to make regular hyperbaric sessions a realistic option for more people. Accessibility was the reason for the business, and the business had to work around it.

We wanted to challenge what this industry charged, and we’re proud of the part we’ve played in pushing prices down. Some of the people who now run hyperbaric clinics visited Breathe before opening their own. They saw the spaces we’d created, the prices we charged and the relationships we’d built with our members. They saw that affordable could still mean exceptional.

We’ll let others tell their version of where their idea came from. What matters to us is that more people can now afford to walk through a door and try it.

Good care, safe equipment and people who know what they’re doing should be the standard at an accessible price. We’re proud of what we started, and we have every intention of taking it further.

Keep an eye on 2027. We still have a lot more work to do.

Follow Breathe to see what comes next.

There’s a reason we’re this interested.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? We’ve got answers

Most people start with a first Hyperbaric Oxygen session. You’ll spend around an hour with one of our trained practitioners, who’ll get to know you, show you around, answer your questions and guide you through a gentle first session. Some people add Red Light Therapy that day; others explore it on their next visit.

If you’d prefer to meet us before deciding on a therapy, contact us to arrange a consultation and tour. You can talk through what’s brought you here, see the space and equipment for yourself, and ask about anything that’s worrying you. You’ll leave knowing what to expect and with a clearer idea of your options.

Not at all. You might bump into a professional athlete, someone recovering after cancer treatment, a new parent finding time for themselves or someone who simply wants to look after their health. People come with injuries, busy minds, ongoing conditions and plenty of other reasons.

That mix of people is part of what makes Breathe what it is. We want looking after yourself to have a place in everyday life, with hyperbaric oxygen and our other therapies becoming more accessible to the people they may suit.

We start by listening, with time for your questions as well as ours, with no 5-minute timers in sight. We want to understand your health, what you’re hoping to improve and what a realistic routine would look like for you.

Our guidance draws on our training, including training through the International Board of Undersea Medicine, published research and what we’ve learnt from nearly three years of running Breathe. We’ll explain the thinking behind our recommendations, including where the evidence is promising, limited or still developing, so you can make an informed decision.

We’ll show you around, sit down with you and talk through what’s brought you here. Before your session, we’ll explain what to expect, cover the safety checks and procedures, and make sure you’ve had time to raise any concerns.

For hyperbaric oxygen, a practitioner stays beside you as the pressure changes, helping you settle in and clear your ears. Once you’re comfortable, we’ll check you’re happy for us to step away from the chamber. Your session remains monitored throughout, and we’ll support you again as the pressure comes down.

We regularly welcome people with existing health conditions, and suitability depends on your circumstances and the therapy you’re considering. Our booking questions help identify anything we need to review before you arrive. We may contact you for more information or ask for clearance from your doctor or consultant.

Our team checks for relevant conditions and medication restrictions for Hyperbaric Oxygen, Red Light Therapy and Alpha-Stim. For IV therapy and vitamin injections, our nurse will contact you before your appointment to review your health and discuss suitability. These checks help us identify potential issues before you make the journey.

Please tell us, even if you’re not quite sure how to explain what’s worrying you. Joe, one of our founders, is extremely claustrophobic himself, and that experience has shaped the support and training we give our team.

We’re used to helping people settle in, explaining each step and making adjustments where we can. Since opening, only a handful of people have been unable to complete a session. We take pride in this and put it down to the environment we’ve carefully crafted. We take our time, and you can tell us whenever you need more explanation, reassurance or a pause.

Yes, where they’re suitable for you. Many of our members combine therapies, most often Red Light Therapy before or after their hyperbaric session. We’ll consider your health and any reasons a particular combination might not be appropriate, then help arrange the timings.

If your first visit is for hyperbaric oxygen, we can also introduce you to Red Light Therapy or explain Alpha-Stim while you’re here. Additional sessions depend on availability, so let us know beforehand if you’d like to include one.

That depends on what brings you here, the therapy you choose and your health. Research uses different schedules for different conditions and goals, sometimes with substantial differences in session length, frequency and the overall course.

On your first visit, we’ll explain the relevant research and discuss a suggested routine, including the time involved and how it fits around your life. We’ll also talk about what’s realistic to expect and when to review how you’re getting on.

You don’t have to become a member. We offer a membership structured around a regular, research-informed routine, alongside bespoke plans tailored to your circumstances and availability. We’ll help you understand which option fits the frequency we’ve discussed.

Hyperbaric Oxygen sessions range from £26–£35 and Red Light Therapy from £20–£25, depending on your plan. Memberships have a three-month commitment, while bespoke plans are valid for 12 months. First-visit prices and prices for our other services are listed on their individual pages.

Parking is always free at our locations, right outside the entrance. We have level entrances, accessible toilets and a seated hyperbaric chamber that can be adapted for wheelchair use.

If you have particular access needs, call or WhatsApp us before booking. We can talk through the facilities and chamber arrangements at your chosen location, so you know what to expect before you arrive.
